Revelation
16:10 And the fifth angel
poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their
tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed
the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of
their deeds.
Jude
1:3 ¶Beloved, when I gave
all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me
to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the
faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4 For there are
certain men crept in unawares, who
were before of old ordained to this
condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord
Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore
put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how that the Lord, having
saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6 And the angels that kept not their first estate,
but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great
day.
7 Even as Sodom
and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over
to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal
fire.
8 ¶Likewise also
these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending
with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him
a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10 But these speak evil of those things which they know
not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they
corrupt themselves.
11 Woe unto them!
for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of
Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when
they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried
about of winds; trees whose fruit wither, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13 Raging waves of
the sea, foaming out their own shame;
wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness
forever.
14 And Enoch also,
the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh
with ten thousands of his saints,
15 ¶To execute judgment upon all, and to
convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they
have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners
have spoken against him.
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after
their own lusts; and their mouth
speak great swelling words, having
men's persons in admiration because of
advantage.
17 But, beloved,
remember you the words that were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord
Jesus Christ;
18 How that they
told you there should be mockers in the
last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they
who separate themselves, sensual, having
not the Spirit.
20 But you,
beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy
Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves
in the love of God, looking for the mercy
of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some
have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them
out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24 Now unto him
that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding
joy,
25 To the only
wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and
ever. Amen.
1 John
2:9 He that says he is in
the light, and hates his brother, is in
darkness even until now.
10 He that loves
his brother abides in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in
him.
11 But he that
hates his brother is in darkness, and
walks in darkness, and knows not whither he goes, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
1 John
1:5 ¶This then is the
message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is
light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that
we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the
truth:
7 But if we walk
in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and
the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses
us from all sin.
8 ¶If we say that we have no sin, we deceive
ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our
sins, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
10 If we say that
we have not sinned, we make him a liar,
and his word is not in us.
2
Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but
cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be
reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not
the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness,
bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 And turning the
cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow,
making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
7 ¶And delivered
just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8 (For that
righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous
soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9 The Lord knowes how to deliver the godly
out of temptations, and to reserve
the unjust unto the Day of Judgment to be punished:
10 ¶But chiefly
them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise
government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and
might, bring not railing accusation against
them before the Lord.
12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken
and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly
perish in their own corruption;
13 And shall
receive the reward of unrighteousness,
as they that count it pleasure to riot in the daytime. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling
unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone
astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of
unrighteousness;
16 But was rebuked
for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking
with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
17 These are wells without water, clouds that are
carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved forever.
18 For when they
speak great swelling words of vanity,
they allure through the lusts of the
flesh, through much wantonness,
those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption:
for of whom a man is overcome, of
the same is he brought in bondage.
20 For if after they have escaped the pollution
of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they
are again entangled therein, and
overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been
better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they
have known it, to turn from the holy
commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is
happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own
vomit again; and the sow
that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Thessalonians 5:6
¶Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
7 For they that
sleep, sleep in the night; and they
that be drunken are drunken in the night.
8 But let us, who
are of the day, be sober, putting on
the breastplate of faith and love;
and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For
God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our
Lord Jesus Christ,
10 Who died for
us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
11 ¶Wherefore
comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also you do.
Ephesians
6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take
unto you the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to withstand in the
evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth,
and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet
shod with the preparation of the gospel
of peace;
16 Above all,
taking the shield of faith,
wherewith you shall be able to quench
all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the Spirit, and
watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Ephesians
5:1 ¶Be you therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved
us, and hath given
himself for us an offering and a
sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savor.
3 ¶But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becomes
saints;
4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
5 For this you
know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 Let no man
deceive you with vain words: for because of these things comes the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7 Be not you therefore partakers with them.
8 For you were
sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of
light:
9 (For the fruit
of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10 Proving what is
acceptable unto the Lord.
11 And
have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to
speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13 But all things
that are reproved are made manifest by
the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14 Wherefore he
says, Awake thou that sleeps, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give
thee light.
15 See then that
you walk circumspectly, not as fools,
but as wise,
16 Redeeming the
time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be
you not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is
excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 Speaking to
yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody
in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks
always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ;
2
Corinthians 6:14 Be you not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what
concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believes with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for you
are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be you
separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and you
shall be my sons and daughters, says
the Lord Almighty.
Romans
13:10 Love
works no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
11 ¶And that,
knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is
our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is
far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put you on
the Lord Jesus Christ, and make
not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Acts
26:15 And I said, Who art
thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom
thou persecutes.
16 But rise, and
stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make
thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou has seen, and of
those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
17 Delivering thee
from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
18 To
open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God,
that they may receive forgiveness of sins,
and inheritance among them which are
sanctified by faith that is in
me.
John
8:12 ¶Then spoke Jesus
again unto them, saying, I am
the light of the world: he that
follows me shall not walk in
darkness, but shall have the
light of life.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world,
and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Luke
12:3 Therefore whatsoever you have spoken in darkness shall be
heard in the light; and that
which you have spoken in the ear in
closets shall be proclaimed upon the
housetops.
Luke
11:34 The light of the
body is the eye: therefore when your eye
is single, thy whole body also is full
of light; but when your eye is evil,
thy body also is full of darkness.
Matthew
22:13 Then said the king
to the servants, Bind him hand and foot,
and take him away, and cast him into
outer darkness; there shall be weeping
and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew
25:30 And cast you the unprofitable servant into outer darkness:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew
6:23 But if your eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness.
If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
Daniel
2:22 He
reveals the deep and secret things: he knows
what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.
Ezekiel
32:3 Thus says the Lord
GOD; I will therefore spread out my net
over thee with a company of many people; and they shall bring thee up in my net.
4 Then will I leave thee upon the land, I will cast
thee forth upon the open field, and will cause all the fowls of the heaven to remain upon thee, and I will fill the beasts of the whole earth with
thee.
5 And I will lay
thy flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with thy height.
6 I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou
swim, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of thee.
7 And when I shall put thee out, I will cover
the heaven, and make
the stars thereof dark; I will
cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.
8 All the bright
lights of heaven will I make
dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, says the Lord GOD.
9 I will also vex
the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations,
into the countries that thou has not known.
10 Yea, I will
make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for
thee, when I shall brandish my sword
before them; and they shall tremble
at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall.
11 For thus says
the Lord GOD; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee.
Jeremiah
23:12 Wherefore their way
shall be unto them as slippery
ways in the darkness: they shall
be driven on, and fall therein: for
I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, says the LORD.
